"This employee retirement planning
book is dedicated to employees whose
retirement may be as long as they have been employed!"
Dear Employee: (This employee letter may be customized for each group)
On behalf of your employer, companies providing this financial
education program, financial advisor(s) and the authors, we would like to personally
compliment you for taking the time to plan. A tremendous amount of research
and experience has gone into this retirement planning project, and we know for
a fact that if you read our employee retirement planning book, complete the
assignments and follow its guidelines, you will increase your chances for success
providing for that older person you will some day become!
Advice for young employees: The desire for material things can
take all your money and keep you in debt and struggling. Don't allow your paycheck
to go "out the window" with no savings for your financial security.
Start paying yourself first by saving money in your company retirement
program.
Advice for employees nearing retirement: With a sound pre-retirement and/or retirement plan you can face the future with confidence. People don't usually plan to fail financially, they just fail to plan. Don't allow yourself to reach retirement without having done your homework. You are fully responsible for that older person you will some day become. You will have to live with the results of your planning or lack of planning. It is absolutely never too late or too early to start planning.
Advice for those who have already retired: Never
stop planning! There are too many changes that can cost you dearly.
Protecting your home, savings and investments becomes even more important after
retirement.
