ABOUT US

The Advisor Group, Ltd.     This site is provided through the educational services of The Internet Connection Association of Ohio, Inc., (ICA) a non-profit company. These services are educational only and no legal, tax, investment or financial advice is provided by ICA. The volunteers and financial advisors are all independent professionals who volunteer their time to assist in providing employees with the information and advice associated with this free employee self-help service. You are in no way obligated to use the services of the financial advisors who volunteer their services, but we recommend that you always get a second opinion for all major financial decisions. Sound planning requires personal self-help planning to get out of debt, save for your future or to enjoy the leisure opportunities available to you. We encourage you to use these support services to your advantage.

Mr. Chuck Whitaker

Mr. Whitaker is the founder of this program. Formerly he was Assistant Vice President with MONY in New York where he served as national director of a program he developed for MONY called the "Harvest Years" retirement planning educational program. He was in charge of training their national offices to provide retirement planning seminars and employee counseling on a national basis.

Examples of employers Mr. Whitaker has served on a national basis are: NASA engineers at NASA, Mead Corporation, New Jersey Institute of Technology, Monroe Auto Equipment Co. Straub Hospital, Phoenix Community College, Puma Community College, University of Alabama, Athens State College, University of Alaska, City of Jackson, Martin Marietta Corporation and many other employers.

Mr. Whitaker has conducted techniques that assisted employees to become more self-reliant. HR programs have been conducted in Phoenix, Arizona, Hawaii, Alaska, Alabama, New Jersey and Georgia. The program encourages self-reliance, self-help and cost sharing responsibility. Encouraging employees to fulfill their own responsibilities by taking action and providing a way for them to receive financial information is crucial to the program. Providing consistent information with incentives is the key to helping employees plan for their future and to rely less on government social programs and employee benefits. The program teaches the truth; that there are three legs to the financial plan – government social programs, employee benefits and personal employee financial and retirement planning.

Mr. Whitaker has set up five community banks in Ohio to offer alternative investments and planning. He assisted in planning, recruiting and training for Dime Bank, Sutton State Bank, United Bank, Chippawa Valley Bank and The St. Henry Bank.

Mr. Whitaker is a national speaker on the issues of aging, retirement planning estate planning, business consulting and individual financial counseling. A letter from Tiffin University quoted a community bank chairman as saying, "Mr. Whitaker was the best speaker the Good Morning World program had ever had". He is a Certified Senior Advisor (CSA), Certified Estate Planning Professional (CEPP), Registered Securities Professional (RSP) and a paralegal. He has been a financial planner, retirement advisor, business consultant and investment representative for over 30 years.
